Dear Friends, it's been a wonderful 25 years in this fabulous business! I love every day of it - the creative challenges, the interactions with my wonderful clients, and the happy faces at pick up. There is not one day that goes by when I don't learn a new trick or two! And I am so proud to say that over the years, after I do my calculations ... I think I have had my hand in framing about 50,000 pieces that are hanging in beautiful homes in Charlottesville and beyond - wow!
But now it is time for an exciting new chapter to start (at the end of this year, that is) - my other half and I have decided to relocate to his favorite place to live: the very creative and beautiful city of Asheville, NC, where I will be able to pick up my paint brush again. Let me just emphasize that things will continue as usual, so do not panic and just make a little list of things you would like to have framed between now and then: we'll make it happen!
That being said, this presents a wonderful opportunity for a creative soul to take over the amazing business and workshop we have created together since 2010. Please continue reading and let me know if you know anyone who may fit this bill, so that the wonderful craft and art of truly hand made, conservation minded, inventively designed picture framing does not fall prey to the somewhat mediocre discount big box chain framers that are gobbling up the world with their much shorter-lasting results.
Many, many, many plus thanks for a wonderful quarter century of framing!! You will be missed!!!!! Beate
PS: for those of you who are interested, you will be able to find me again here and here. And remember, Titus and Pandora can be found here as always.
