We're pleased to currently present this gorgeous original panoramic, limited edition signed photograph by local photographer Rob Garland in our gallery.

“The Tree”

Traveling around the world gives me such excitement and fulfillment.  Taking the time to explore some of the landscapes in the southern portion of the United States is an awe-inspiring experience.

When I arrived at this massive oak, I was absolutely blown away.  This is a tree that showcases the beautiful textures and form that only appear after more than one-thousand years of living.  It has a peaceful calm that would cause anyone to pause and stare in complete awe.  One look and I knew immediately that this was going to be a subject worth capturing.  After two years of returning to this location and not finding the desired light or mood, I continued trying, only to end up in the middle of heavy precipitation.  After patiently waiting, the rain eventually came to an end and I was ready with my camera, lens and tripod.  For a moment, being alone with this magnificent beauty allowed me to make the image while capturing the detail, shape and form that is only achieved with the right conditions.  The diffused light was very subtle for only a minute, allowing every detail of the tree to appear.

When I look at this photograph, I feel the incredible serenity of nature all wrapped up into one beautiful moment.

It is my wish that you experience this as well!
